How can i take a collection item which is paid off from my credit report?

my previous apt. office send bills to collection when i broke the lease and i paid that amount in full to the collection company.howcould i take that item off my credit report??

Try disputing the debts with the credit bureaus, they may fall off.

If disputing does not work, then you will just have to wait out the 7 year clock.

Do not pay collections until they agree in writing to remove the negative entries from your credit report. A collection is a collection, paid or not. Paying does not help your credit score and most of the time will damage your score.
