I need help getting my Apartment complex to fix my leaky ceiling rather then them remodeling thier office..?

I have been asking my apt. complex to fix my ceiling. They just took over and seem to find it more important to remodel their office and re-pave the parking lot. Its been 6 months if not more that I have had this leaking problem.. I keep getting excuses... I'm to the point of just wanting to get out of my lease and get my deposit back.....

My recomendation to you is to take a photograph of the leak and document all you calls in a letter and send one to them regular mail and one certified mail demanding that it be fixed or that you are holding them in default of the lease as it is there responsibilty to make repairs in a reasonable time and this is not reasonable by any means. Go get-em.... They just need to be put in their place. Good luck !! But this is simple they are in default on their own lease....

You need to get in touch with you local housing authority and report your problem to them. I would also get in touch with the health dept. in your area. A leaking roof can cause mold and that can lead to a lot of health problems.

Tell the management that you are going to call the health department to have your apartment tested for mold. They'll fix your ceiling in a hurry. If they don't, then call the hd. If the ceiling has been leaking for that long, chances are youdo have a mold problem and it could be affecting your health.

you could coplain until it gets on their nerves then theyll probaly fix it
