WTF is wrong with Chevy Dealerships?

So I returned a lease early. I got the buy out. Did the paperwork. Got out of my lease. So why the hell did chevy still charge me a my monthly payment when I don't even have the car anymore? I called the finance office and they said chevy never sent them the paper work. It's been a god damn week. Now they're saying I'm not going to get my money back... when it's chevys fault for not sending them the paperwork? AND I DONT GET MY MONEY BACK! They said I might get it back but not until my returned car is sold at auction? What the hell is going on. When I gave them the buyout and what have you, it should have been all set right? Someone please tell me what the hell is going on? I don't own the damn car anymore. It's not registered to me or anything... so why am I still paying for it!?!

Someone is not doing their job properly and did not want to admit it because if he or her does admit, he or she will be in trouble! Well, go get a lawyer, whoever that is not doing his or her job properly should not get away that easily!

keep your shorts on, you say its only been a week, well GM is a pretty large company. And the mail system is too, and the usps is slow, it may take more than a week for the paperwork to wind its way to the right people...

I have a friend in the leasing business, and I once asked her something about leasing a vehicle. She stopped me mid-sentence, and said, "between you and me, the only thing you need to know about leasing a car is: never, ever lease a car."

You should be. Fax machines are in use in every business. These guys are just shafting you. Tell them you are going to small claims court, AND DO IT.

First of all, when dropped off your car, did you pay the chevy dealer? Did you let the lender know when you were dropping it off? Did you get an odometer statement signed from the dealer? Was there an inspection done prior to you dropping off the car?

If you paid the dealer, they should have paid the lender. If you didn't pay the dealer, then you owe the lender.

Chill out! Its just a damn car..It not worth having a stroke. Instead of asking us,go to the dealer and talk with them and the lender at the same time and I would bet alot of money that they will get it resolved,as long as it was done properly to begin with..
