Illegal Tenant Troubles.?

There is someone living at out apartment who is NOT on the lease, i would like them to leave but they refuse. I called the main office of our complex and they said "all we can do is evict all of you, your better off calling the police" so i did, the police said i cant MAKE him leave because he was invited by one of my roomates. But he has been here for months and if he dosnt leave we will ALL be evicted. For the sake of argument pretend that i CANT leave this apartment unless im evicted my self (i wont explain why). How can i get rid of the illegal tennant?

You talked to the dispatcher when you called. They know only what they tell you. Call again and ask to talk to the supervisor on duty, and explain your situation to him/her. They better know the laws of what they can and cannot do in these cases.

actually the police CAN make the person leave, they're just too lazy...call them again, say the person isn't on the lease and you want them gone...

They are all right. Why don't you have issues with the roommate that is living with them instead of the guy? Not much you can do except find another group of people to live with and move out. There is no such thing as can't. If you need to do the eviction thing do it, but I think you are screwed all the way around.

Maybe you could get your roommate to sue this illegal person? Just a suggestion. You are in a really complicated situation here, which I don't have the answers for. Maybe ask a lawyer?

Hit your face and then threaten to call the police for abuse on that person.. LOL

The next time he/she leaves - have all the locks changed. Then pack up all his stuff and put it out by the front door. Post a note on the front door that reads "You don't live here anymore"...
