Landlord problems? |
While we were still in Fla we were sent application for apt in Alabama, we faxed back with note that we would be moving there Fri 8-3. Showed up on time and were told apt wasn't ready because tenant had no help moving. Homeless shelter named His Place wouldn't take us in even though we had inflatable mattresses. We had to get hotel at own expense. Showed back up Mon 8-6 were given 2 BR not 3 BR as told we were getting. Were told gas was not on, but would be turned on by landlord so hot water heater would work. Now 8-13, landlord has not turned on gas, no lease offered for signing, landlord is out more than in. Exasperated. It is a Flournoy community. Is there any way to get relief from this thing without losing apt? All I want is this leasing agent to do her job, not lose it. Although we did get screwed because of someone else's problem, and we remain broke because of it, with no hot water still, and she isn't going to be in the office till 8-15... Anyone with similar issue? Go find a new apartment someplace else. If this is how they treat their residents, why would you want to live there. If you have not signed a lease or moved in you are not obligated to them. find a new place I have to ask why you would want to stay. You have been treated atrociously already, what makes you think it will improve after you sign a lease? Since you have not signed a lease yet, I would find another place to live and quick! With no lease, they cannot come after you. I suspect of you don't get out now, you will regret it. |
