A nursery/home office combo?

We live in a fairly spacious 2-bedroom condo, however, the second bedroom is my husband's home office. Home office really is just a computer setup. It's imperative that he is able to work at home nights and weekends as needed. Anyway, at first we're discussing shifting everything in our living room/dining room to accomodate an office. Talk about tight. But now I'm thinking, can we put baby in the office? My husband would have to work at night sometimes, but whenever he does, he works by a desk lamp. We could put bookshelves (or something) to divide the room and to block out a lot of the computer light.

My question is, would the keyboard sound and minimal computer light bother the baby? And if you've dealt with a baby in a tight space, what did you do?

that is a bad idea, The baby needs their own room, So I guess you are going to have to give up part of another room in there.

hum... that's gona be kinda hard to swing. Babies take up a lot of space. Have you thought about getting your husband a lap top? maybe that would help. You could try getting a bassinet and having the baby share a room with you. The draw back to that option is that babies quickly out grow their bassenets. Maybe you can get your husband an accordinan file folder for his paperwork, this way he has a mobil office.

I'm always on the computer while my baby brother or 2 yr. old cousin are napping on my bed. It doesn't seem to bother them very much; they're out like a light after eating and playing. My parents had a desktop set up their room just a few feet away from the baby at our old house and it didn't have much of an affect on the baby. Only problem I have is that both my cousin and brother LOVE my keyboard they can't keep their paws off.
I came across this article yesterday. I don't like the prices, but I do draw inspiration.
