More color help? |
So I am redoing my home office...i want to paint it Dutch Boy Color Impressionst Blue for the main color (its like a darker baby blue) Thinking about then painting the trim white. I would like to do something fun on the walls maybe stripes? But I want the space to be really calming and stress free...any suggestions?? Sorry no pictures just an opinion - keep the solid blue and white trim then add large graphic posters of beach scenes for the tranquil element. Stripes are tricky to do and get annoying after awhile. Good Luck! you could install beadboard wainscoting on the lower 1/3 of the walls and paint it white like the trim and baseboards. its very easy to install and not expensive. would give the room a tranquil beach/cape cod/ cabin feel. I like the blue and white idea but wouldn't go with the stripes. To make it calmer, add accents in sage or celery green instead. |
