TV putting down women?

Not sure if you've noticed but a lot of commercials on TV now are directed towards making women out to be so awful that the men need to lie to them, sneak behind their backs, etc...to avoid conflict. Example, Bud Light used a man claiming his friend needed to "vent" as a reason to get away from his girlfriend and drink beer with the guys. Why not just tell her you're going to drink? Snickers has a man coming home at 5:30am and when asked, he lies and says he's gotten up early to go into the office. This honestly disgusts me. Are women so awful that men have to think these lies up? Or is it the never ending cycle of immaturity that keeps these stigma's going? Why aren't men just honest about who they are and what they want? Or why aren't women giving their men the space they need to do guy things? Is anyone else noticing this?

I think it's that a lot of women don't trust thier men to go out and do guy things. So guys feel like they need to sneak around. I think women should lighten up, but I think the men should give the trustworthy women ALOT more credit. We're not all like that. Good eye!

Uhhh....Because its a commercial and it's meant to be funny? You're reading too much into these. How funny or entertaining would it be if the guy's just like "Yeah, I'm going out for a beer"? It would be pretty damn boring.

If anything, it's putting men down because it makes them look like lying pigs.

The second commercial you talked about....Now, he lied because he was probably doing something he wasn't supposed to be, like cheating on his wife or partying or something. How the hell does that make the girl look bad? It makes her look like a victim and her husband look like a jerk.
