Who do you complain to about goverment housing? |
I am living with my mom with two kids. One is disablied and on ssi. All the people that work there are living in them taking up space for the needy people. i need a 3 bedrm cause i have a boy and girl. but in one 3 bedrm there a girl with two boys lives in one that should live in a two but her sister in law works in the office that does the apps.. and the maintance man lives in one 3bedrm with his son and the daughter has her own one bedrm thats for the elderly. Here i am with a disablied daughter and say i am on a waiting list. there has been one three bedrm open since oct and one since feb. Everybody works up there is related so i need to go over there head i cant seem to find the number to the housing complaints. i know its in moline IL does anyone know the laws for goverment housing? Government housing is what is called an administrative agency, meaning that before you can take any kind of legal action against them, you must first exhaust all of your administrative remedies, meaning, you must first file a grievance against them, at their agency, then, after they hear the case, which will be heard by an administrative law judge which is appointed by them, then, if you are not satisfied, you can take it to regular court. HOWEVER, if you want a solution the first time, when you see their law judge, simply ask who gave them their administrative license, and if they ask why you want to know, tell them that you do not feel that they are following the guidelines set for them by the federal government. ALWAYS REMEMBER BE POLITE!!! Better to gh\et your way then waste your precious time and resources fighting a battle you may loose anyhow. But, it wouldn't hurt to contact their licensor anyhow. GOOD LUCK Contact HUD in DC... You have no way of knowing all of the information of the other families that are living there, first of all. Unfortunately you do have to wait your turn for Section 8 housing. It doesn't matter if you think you deserve to be bumped up to a larger place, it doesn't work like that. |
