What "common" programs use the Microsoft .NET Framework?

All that comes to mind is Paint.NET..

Basically, I'm asking, which programs are "common," or "most people use" that cannot function or function properly without the Microsoft .NET Framework? I am a user with very limited hard drive space (10 GB), so it would be helpful if I made the most out of it, and take out all the stuff I don't need. I IM'ed my friend the other day, and he said that the Microsoft Office Suite uses Microsoft .NET Framework; however, I'm not really worried about that was I use the open-source OpenOffice.org. (Is he right though?)

Well i am sure most microsoft owned and made programs would have the Net Framework. such as Microsoft Office and MSN Messanger. but these are only my guess. www.en.wikipedia.com and google are 2 very good sources to find answeres for this question. Sorry, hope that helped even a little.
