I how can get 1 '' inch margins in Word?

I have just screwed up my margins in Word 2003 office edition.
I need to have 1 inch margins for a paper I'm writing, ( on all sides I beleive) but when I go to page setup what do I put in each section which is...

TOP
BOTTOM
LEFT
RIGHT
GUTTER
GUTTER POSITION

what do I need to put in each one?? when I did it I was left with way too much space on either side...

Set Top, Bottom, Left and Right to 1.00 inches. Set Gutter to 0. I don't think Gutter Position will then be applicable.

When you've done this, click the Default button to save these as your default.

Notice also that your header and footer positions (Page Setup dialog, Layout tab) and sizes (set within the header and footer themselves) can add space to the top and bottom of your page. In general, the header and footer should fit inside the margins to avoid this.

if you had 1'' margins before then open a new document and it will be there as a default.
otherwise just go into page set up and scroll up or down until you get the required width.
you can also have a look at print preview and drag the margins around there
