Ernest Jones returns policy???

I got a London BLue topaz/Diamond And white Gold ring from for my Christmas from my husband and the shop was OK about it going back for resizing if it didnt fit. Two days after I got it back one of the claws holding the stone in came off and so back to the shop it went, when I got it back for a 2nd time, I noticed that there was about a 2mm space between the stone and the cradle it sits in, I mentioned this and said I wasnt happy as it was flush when it went into the shop to get repaired. The shop manager said it was ok, so I went home and emailed the head office to which they told me I could go to any branch to get it looked at.

I took it back to another branch and they said the stone was set wrong, and they then set it off to be repaired.

I picked it up today, and the gap is still there and there are 2 missing diamonds and the gold is all gouged. After pointing this out to the manager, she said the best she could do is order another once in my size.

But the replacement wouldnt be here until 3rd May.

Im really hacked off as the ring was just over 拢300 and I think I have only had it on my finger for a maximum of 5 hours.

Would I be well within my rights to ask for a full refund as I have already given them a couple of chances to repair the ring???

Yes you have the right to a full refund as you have given them the opportunity to repair the ring and they have failed miserably by the sounds of it. If they refuse to refund your money tell them you will make a claim against them in the County Court under the Sale of Goods Act this usually does the trick.

I have just got a ring from that shop in my area for my birthday from my boyfriend i hope that i dont have this prob too as i would be like you very p*****d!

You have every right to return the Ring for a full refund plus your out of pocket expenses.The Sale Of Goods Act clearly states this.The ring appears to be cheap rubbish and has litte value if any.Bit of China if you ask me.
