I need help in measearing up office space for a CLeaning contract?

if your looking for the square footage of it it will be the lenght times width ie if the room is 20 feet long and 10 ft wide multiply 20 x10=200 square feet,most appraisals as based on work done by the square ft,good luck,ps if you have multiple rooms just add all the rooms together for the total then multiply that by the price per square ft ie700 total square feet times 75 cents a ft=$525.00

What help do you need? I just gave a rough estimate by using a tape measure when I had to do mine!!

gat a piece of graph paper and measure and draw it to scale, eg 1 square is 1m.
then use that to work out the area. (count the number of full squares then add the number of 1/2 squares etc)
or just do legnth x the width if it is a rectangle.

if you are looking for someone to quote to clean your office i would suggest that you give them a rough guide as to the size then get them to come and have a look at the area to be cleaned.

Your best and simplest resource may be your lease. It usually mentions the square footage of the space you are in. Sometimes it will mention the usable sf and sometimes the rentable sf. The number to use for your cleaning company is the usable. If your lease only mentions rentable, contact your landlord and ask him what the loss factor is (usually 10-20%). You will need to subtract the percentage from the rentable square footage to get the usable.
