Does the Asus Eee have enough storage space for windows office?

i'm thinking of getting the 8 gb one

How big is the hard drive & how much of the hard drive is still free?

theyre preloaded with linux it has openoffice free

If I can make a suggestion as I have an EEE.

First you are going to have to remove linux and install Windows XP if you want to run Microsoft Office.

Once you have done that you are going to have 1.8GB left on your hard drive (assuming the 4GB one). You could probably fit Office on there but it would cripple your capability to use the machine (leaving you no space for other stuff)

The better idea is to get an SD card (4GB or larger) and throw it in the slot on the side. Then install your programs to the SD card. Windows has the 4GB hard drive all to itself and is happy. Your programs have the SD card to themselves and ard happy. You save a bunch of money off the price of an EEE so your happy too :) A jump drive also works (I've got a 4gb jump drive, 4gb SD card, and 60gb external hard drive all hooked up). However, I have found the USB drives slower than the SD card on my machine.
