Trying to determine if Chlorinated Hydrocarbons can collect in an office's air space? Chlorinated hydrocarbons are typically much heavier than air and so can settle into low lying areas of a building. Near the floor or in basements. If you have significant sources of CFC's in your office you should definitely vent these spaces using powered ventilators. If you have very large quantities of these materials being released you should stop the releases ASAP because they are probably illegal and they could pose a suffocation hazard. |
