What would you do if you were moved out of your office for new boss, someone the co. hired over you?

What would you do if you had just gotten your own office,
finally after more than 3 years in a common area, and now the company wants you to move back to the common area so the new boss can have your office - The new boss was hired for that position over you! The new boss is new to the company and I've been there, like I said, more than 3 years. They say it is temporary b/c we are adding on more offices (out of office space)! What do you think? HELP! I feel like I've been slapped HARD in the face.

I'd see the handwriting on the wall. If you believe it is temporary and they are building new space, you could wait it out, but I'd be updating my resume and checking out www.moster.com

Yeah, you should go in there first thing in the morning and tell your boss exactly how you feel.

I would feel as you do so I would begin looking for another company with better benefits and quite possibly a better position.

Time to move on. Your Boss willl not chnage his mind now...

If they really do mean it's temporary then grin and bear it. Usually it's easy to find out if the office has plans for expansion or not. Talk to a different boss you trust and find out if this really is the case or if you just got jacked. Be pro-active. If they see that they can walk all over you they will continue to do so. If it really is a slap in the face, go get a different job.

I think that there is really you can do. All you can do is express yourself the best way possible with out offending your boss or the new boss. You want to keep your job and not have a difficult wor place.
