Can i remove windows 2000 office from my computer???

i have both windows 2000 office AND windows XP home edition on my 1 computer... i only use XP... and 2000 office is taking up alot of space on my computer. can i remove it???

Windows 2000 and Windows XP are operating systems.

Windows 2000 Office is an application.


Win XP does not come with an office component - Word, Excel etc.

If you use those, then you are using Office 2000 and you don't want to delete that in that case. If you are NOT using the Office applications, then by all means delete them. There should not be a problem with doing so.

I'm not sure if you are talking about Windows 2k as an operating system or Office (word excel etc.). If you are talking about office:
Start/Control Panel/Add/Remove software, and pick office 2000.

If you are talking about operating system you have to format the partition it is located on.

Windows 2000 Office is an application while XP Home is an Operating System. Do you mean Windows 2000 Professional? To remove an Office application go to Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs - click on the item in the list of installed programs and then click on Remove. Be advised that removing an Office aplication means you will have no Word or Excel facility
