Regarding loading of Microsoft Office 2007?

Hi All,
I have MS-Office 2003 on my laptop and I want Office 2007 for which I have got it's cd also. It would be nice if you could tell me - Can I load the Office 2007 directly or do i need to uninstall the Office 2003 by any method. Also, even if I load Office 2007 then will 2003 exist and take the space or it will be deleted automatically?
To be honest - I want to load MS-Office 2007 permanently and uninstall the Office 2003.

Kindly help me with this.

In theory, installing 2007 over the top of 2003 will simply update your version of Office, but in my experience with Office, you are better off uninstalling 2003 then installing 2007. I had some issues when I updated / installed over Office 2000 with Office XP.

You may get some issues as was just stated. So, if your CD with 2007 is an update Disk and not a total installation, just put the CD in the ROM drive and install. It will replace what you have (and is probably going to look for 2003 if it is an update disk). If it's not an update disk, then got to your office 2003 to the uninstaller in the pull down. Uninstall, then do a regular install of the 2007.
