no it is kind of fast but i had no programs and i just have 65 gbs of free spaaceee

i right clicked on the disk c and its says that i have already used 9gbs

so my question is how can i get rid off those gbs or at least get my old programs back or free up my disk space????

please helpp mee

and sorry about my english

windows is around 9gb. what probably happened was that you reinstalled it without deleting the old partion for windows XP. it's not being used, but it still takes up space. go to control panel, and click administrative tools. then click computer management. double click "storage" and navigate to disk management. see if there is 9gb devoted to the old partition. here is a screenshot of the disk manager.

if there is an old partition, delete it. makes sure not to delete your new boot data.

Reformat the entire hard drive and reinstall XP.

Do a clean reformat and install of XP...

After installing the necessary setup files, Windows XP will display your partitions. Delete any existing partitions by selecting the desired partition with the arrow keys, press D to delete and then L to confirm the deletion.

You should now have only one option, "Unpartitioned Space". Press Enter to install Windows XP to the unpartitioned space.

When asked how you would like to format the partition, select "Format using the NTFS file system".

After the partition is formatted, Windows XP will begin installation. The computer will reboot. While the computer is rebooting, please do not touch any keys. From now on the screens will look like the following:
