What's the office etiquette regarding display of bar certificates? |
Even attorneys who've been barred in several other jurisdictions tend to display only the bar admission certificate relevant to the state where the office is located. I work in a firm where I make business trips to another jurisdiction where I was previously barred. Now I am studying for the bar in the state I currently live in. I'm thinking of putting up my other state bar admissition certificate, plus the certificate of that jurisdiction's highest court. But once I pass this current state, then I'll have the current state too. Will that be too much on my wall? I do have the space, but is it considered tacky? no, be proud of the fact that you have excelled in your profession. Doctors, dentists, and just about every other professional displays all of their license cirtificates and diplomas, so show yours and be proud of them |
