I've got Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007 (BETA) on my Windows XP Computer and when I try to uninstall the programme it says:-
"Setup could not find any available products to install. Please contact your administrator"
I've looked in my Program Files and the folder is there with all the files, including word etc, when I try to open one of them it tells me there is not enough disk space, when I clearly have more than recomened (117GB).
(There isn't an uninstaller file in the folder either)
How can I uninstall this from my system to install a newer version?
Thanks. Ok, click on the "start" button then go to "control pannel" then click on "add or remove programs". It will then show a list of programs, find the one you want to remove and click "remove" and it will uninstal itself. you have to bye a disk from stapels You just leave the beta version on it. when you install a newer version, the beta gets replaced with it. Control panel / add remove programs. goto control panel
look for add remove prg and den delete the programme you want from the list You don't need to uninstall it. The new version will handle that part when you install it. Start -> Control panel -> Add/remove programs.
If it isn't there, then whack the directory from your Program Files.

To uninstall the existing 2007 Office system if you cannot uninstall it by using the Add or Remove Programs feature, follow these steps:
1. Remove any remaining Windows Installer packages of the 2007 Office system. To do this, follow these steps.
Note These steps require that your user account has Administrator permissions on the computer.
a. Click Start, click Run, type installer, and then click OK.
This process opens the %windir%\Installer folder.
b. On the View menu, click Details.
c. On the View menu, click Choose Details.
d. Click to select the Subject check box, type 340 in the Width of selected column (in pixels) box, and then click OK.
Note It may take several minutes for the subjects to appear next to each .msi file.
e. On the View menu, point to Arrange icons by, and then click Subject.
f. For each .msi file whose subject is "Microsoft Office Product_Name 2007," right-click the .msi file, and then click Uninstall.
Note Product_Name is a placeholder for the name of the 2007 Office product.
2. Stop the Office Source Engine service. To do this, follow these steps:
a. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.
b. In the Services window, determine whether the Office Source Engine service is running. If this service is running, right-click Office Source Engine, and then click Stop.
c. Close the Services window.
3. Remove any remaining 2007 Office installation files and folders. To do this, follow these steps:
a. Click Start, click Run, type %CommonProgramFiles%\Microsoft Shared, and then click OK.
b. If the following folders are present, delete them:

2. Click the View tab.
3. In the Advanced settings pane, click Show hidden files and folders under Hidden files and folders.
4. Click to clear the Hide protected operating system files check box, and then click OK.
f. Open the drive_letter:\MSOCache\All Users folder, and then delete every folder that has the following text in the folder name:

Note This text contains a zero and a one for the letters "O" and "I."
g. Click Start, click Run, type %appdata%\microsoft\templates, and then click OK.
h. Delete the following files:

Warning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems might require that you reinstall the operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk.
a. Locate and then delete the registry subkeys of the 2007 Office system if they are present. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
2. Click the following subkey:

3. On the File menu, click Export, type DeletedKey01, and then click Save.
4. On the Edit menu, click Delete, and then click Yes to confirm the deletion.
5. For each registry subkey in the following list, repeat steps 4a(1) through 4a(4). Change the name of the exported key by one for each subkey.
For example, type DeletedKey02 for the second key, type DeletedKey03 for the third key, and so on.

g. Close Registry Editor. How about using the newer version as an update. Just keep installing as far as possible, Might be worth a try. Just start installing the newer version, it will ask to upgrade the old version.
