What is the standard number of parking spaces allotted per employee in a suburban office environment? |
It should be less than one. Not every employee would need a space due to carpooling, public transportation, etc. often times this is dictated by zoning or planning regulations for an organization that portrays itself as green perhaps the number would be less to encourage pooling and public transportation ie schlepping on the bus in tennis shoes and plastic bags one or less, depending on the status of the employee. 1 (cksq) one. Why would an emplyee need more than one space.they could only drive one car at a time. If it's a shared lot or has public on street parking close by, then none. Some of the placed I worked at had about double the employees than parking because there was street parking as well. When they build it, it is based off code which in my area is one spot for every 200sf of office. |
