I don't like Woody Allen, but I LOVE Larry David?

I know, they are two different people and all, and I was watching Sleeper tonight, and just couldn't laugh at anything. However I think I've seen Larry David do a couple of those schticks in Curb Your Enthusiasm, which is only, like, the funniest TV show in th elast ten years! ANyway, I think Larry David is hilarious!
So, they are both into this self-deprecating Jewish humor, one I love the other I hate. It's like The Office, and Office Space. I LOVE Office Space, and can't appreciate the humor in The Office at all.
So........,
do you think you have to empathize with someone to find them funny?

I think it helps, definitely.

And I agree, Larry David is amazing. I'm hoping he finds a way to put his divorce into Curb and make it funny. The dissolving of a marriage hasn't really been done.

But I love The Office and can't take Office space... interesting.
