Open ended question statements and reasons please?

You are the founder and CEO of the Chartiers/Pittsbrugh Architectural firm. You are to design a building which has a square base in the form of a pyramid with 80,000 sq ft of office space. Each floor has a ceiling which is 8.5 ft high & there are 18 inches between each level to allow for ceiling & floor space. On each floor 20 percent of the floor is not office space. This 20 percent includes hallways, restrooms, maintence storage areas, etc. The final 10 ft of the building can not be used for office space due to the peak of the strucutre being too small to use effectively. If the maximum height of the office buiding is only 100 ft what are the dimensions of the base and what is the angle of elevation of one of the sides of the building? what is the total volume of the entire building? What would be the office floor space on the highest floor? what wouldbe office space on the second florr? accuracy to 4 decimals for every situation

first find out how many floors are in the building.

Then construct a formula for how much space is on each floor - this will be related to the slope of the pyramid.

Add up all the floor space formulae, and this should equal 80,000. You will then need to use your knowledge of sequences to solve for the dimensions of the pyramid.
