Best location to open an IT call center.? Apartment.?

1) Wanted to know the best location to find employees that have good English skills and a reasonable knowlege of technology. I would also like the office space to be reasonable cost and reliability of the Internet connection to be good also.

2) Have a location in India but I am a little disapointed with the performance of the workers. The GDP of Phil is 3.5 times that of India, what would the average pay be for someone who is serving as a helpdesk operator?

3) If you think that manila is the choice of location. Where is the best place for an office (I would like to keep costs to a minimum also).

4) Final question, where is the best place (website) to look for an apartment rental?

Thanks,
Sean

Your best bet is the Department of Trade and Industry. Their website is www.dti.gov.ph .

In the recent study, the Philippines produce more graduates than India and their hourly wage is the one of the most reasonable. As a matter of fact, the Philippines is the third largest English speaking nation after the US and England.

As to the quality of infrastructure, the Philippines edged out India by 0.5 basis point.

It says in a report that majority of Call Centers are in Makati, followed by Ortigas Center and Quezon City. If you want your costs to a minimum, I suggest you go to the provinces, Cebu and Pampanga, Baguio, Davao, Cagayan de Oro have their call centers as well.

I heard in one of the unconfirmed reports that some of the call centers operate as an Internet Cafe during the days and as a Call Center during the nights. Although, you have a large overhead and head ache with a minimum capital, you will maximize your investment anyway.

The best thing that you can do is to partner with a Filipino so they can guide you where to go and when to go.

Welcome to the Philippines. Mabuhay!

cebu city is the place to put your business. they already had an IT Business Park over there which caters the growing needs of call centers. peace and order is good. housing and apartments are affordable depends on your budget. international airport is there too. manila is too crowded and polluted. if you want some contacts in cebu just inform me, okey? - ron, chicago, illinois
