What are some important movies you've seen?

Here's my list:

Requiem For A Dream- My worst fears captured on camera

Evil Dead- Got me hooked on horror movies

Fight Club- A significant commentary on frustration felt by white-collar workers

Office Space- Same importance as Fight Club, except its not quite as dreary or offbeat

Tae Guk Gi: The Brotherhood of War- If you're a male and you have a brother, then this is required viewing

American History X- Reveals that not only is racism a foolish flaw, but that it has its consequences

Brazil- Portrays the soul-crushing repitition of beauracracy and the joy of freedom

SAW Trilogy- Not just gratuitous gore, but a questioning of the value of life

Taxi Driver- Because everyone can identify with Travis Bickle at one point or another

Chasing Amy- A romantic comedy that's mature and food for thought

Battle Royale- The tag line says it all: Would you kill your best friend?

Malcolm X: A terrific biopic of a true American

Mississippi Burning was a movie that moves me every time I see it, a very hard time in our history.

Gone With the Wind - I spent many years trying to be Rhett Butler, a scoundrel that everyone loves. It didn't work for me.

Gandhi makes you ask if there are other ways to solve our problems.

Barfly was the life I had as a young man, entertaining and pathetic.

As Good as it Gets makes me wonder if this is as good as it gets. Actually it is pretty good.

Full Metal Jacket shows just how bloody and unnecessary war is.

faces of death but its banned from many states. the dark side of human behavior. i seen it when i was like 10 or so.

Battle of Algiers. Why we should not be in Iraq. The Great Dictator. Director, Producer, Writer, Charles Chaplin making a powerful anti Nazi statement, when Hitler was still popular in American. Sunset Boulevard, where writer-director Billy Wilder gives the finger to Hollywood. Biting the hand that feeds him. Network. Director-writer Paddy Cheyefsky's dead-on skewering of televisions almighty quest for ratings. I'm as mad as hell, too!

I Will Fight No More Forever - I first saw this when I was in grade school, it made a huge impact on me at the time and made me realize what the Native Americans went through as they were driven off their lands

The Hiding Place - I also saw this when I was in grade school. A great movie about what it was like in a concentration camp

Schindler's List - The way it was filmed in black and white sucked me in, made me feel like I was there
