Why wasn't the movie Idiocracy released? |
I know it came out on DVD a few days ago, but it was funnier than most crappy comedies out right now. If it wasn't the "goodness" of the script/movie what caused FOX (films) to pull the Mike Judge/Ethan Cohen film out of theatres? (Mike wrote Office Space, and created King of the Hill and Beavis and Butt Head Ethan created The Big Lebowski, Fargo and other films). Also, what did you think of the film if you have seen it? TURNS OUT THAT ETHAN COHEN is truly called ETAN COHEN, but is sometimes credited as Ethan. It says Etan in the film which led me to believe that it was Fargo's Ethan Cohen. Nope. Credited as Ethan Cohen in the film Idiocracy, Etan Cohen is just a screenwriter that writes with Mike Judge occaisionally. because they don't want us to know what the future looks like crap. I had a chance to watch it but passed. I saw that Mike Judge was iunvolved, but didnt notice Ethan's name, that would have convincved me to give it a look. I just watched it, and I'm going to watch it again. I'm hoping I'll find it funnier the 2nd time. Not that it wasn't funny, in a lot of more subtle ways, this movie is terribly funny. In answer to your question, I think they didn't release it because it isn't a stellar movie and it makes fun of the masses in such a cutting way. |
