What can I use on a spot on the carpet to keep my cat from urinating there again?

I moved my cat's litter box to the opposite side of the basement from where I had it, and showed him where it is. He used it to defecate but urinated on the carpet in my office space. I know that he is likely to use the same spot again if I can't get rid of the smell. I can't go out and buy the product that I know works before next Wednesday so does anybody know of some household product that might work?

When you cat get to a pet store, get the Nature's Miracle in the spray bottle. It's an enzyme odor remover and works great! I've tried all the other products and find it to be the best. It even gets grease off carpets.

put some baking soda on it for now, vac it up and do it about three times a day to help pull the smell out.

Put down something that your cat likes. They won't pee on their own food, or catnip, or blanky.

there used to be a product called " cat off " ........and there was also " dog off " . it was sold at most pet stores . this worked well . im not sure if its still available .............

make sure the litter box is constantly cleaned. Cats will find other places to defecate if it's not cleaned. Also, if you have to put a second litter box in the house near where your cat tends to defecate more.

Clean your carpet thoroughly with those spray-on carpet cleaners (would be best if it's anti-bac), vacuum and apply some perfume on it.

Cats don't like the smell of vinegar or citrus. You should figure out why the cat went there in the first place. It usually means it thinks the litter box is too dirty. We clean ours daily. Use enzyme spray from the pet store to eliminate the odors.

Well first move the cat's litter box back to where it was!(I'm not mad I'm just exaggerating.)And you say it was in you're office space so the cat's mad at you. Well try vinegar or something like that it will work!
