What to do about my job?

I recently just got employed at Gap and I want to leave my current job asap. My general manager is the most horrible person you can imagine. Think of Meryll Streep in Devil Wears Prada with a mixture of the boss from the movie "Office Space". You can only imagine.... Anyways, the lady is horrible. I talked to her about the opportunity that was brought to me at Gap and told her that I may be putting in my two weeks, to prepare her since we're short on staff and the place is disorganized to the extreme. She told me that I could NOT put in my two weeks. Isn't that illegal, technically? Back to the story, I put in my resignation in a letter (which she wasnt too happy about). I have one more week to go, and I really dont feel like waiting that week, technically I put in my two weeks last saturday, so next saturday should be my last? She scheduled me for Sunday, but I'm considering not showing up on Sunday, just for fun. I'm the only person that works the front desk in the mornings so yeah..

I hate to burst your "just for fun" bubble, but If you gave a two week notice then there is no excuse to schedule you longer than that. Leave after your notice is up and have a wonderful life.
