Are There Any Books, Movies, Songs, Etc. That Have Changed Your Life? |
For me, it was the movie Office Space. I decided I could never work in a cubicle again and started my own business. the alchemist, by Paulo choello ( i might have spelled his name wrong!) the general message... go for your dreams. Yes, a book titled, "2001: A Space Odyssey". It gave me a love of science fiction. More than a Carpenter by Josh McDowell. A small book that I read in a day and totally changed my life. After reading it, I quit smoking instantly after 10 years, quit drinking (was going to AA and even stopped that...), stopped visiting 'P@#* sites, and got married and settled down. And been incredibly blessed ever since. Pretty much anything from the early days of Van Halen. When I was a kid watching MTV and seen Eddie Van Halen riffing out on his guitar and the crowd going crazy. I knew right then and there that's what I wanted to be when I grow up. No I can't play as good as Eddie but I have my own band now and make money at doing something I love doing on my days off. There is nothing better than playing in front of people and having them go wild over your music. It's a really good feeling. Where's Waldo. When I was 20, I read Women Who Love Too Much. I learned love does not equate mood swing misery. There's a small book called, "Simplify Your Life". It taught me that I don't need all the crap that I simply thought I must have.
