With democrats moving into office in 2008, do you think we'll start getting some real marijuana law reform

I believe if its legal, it would be a much simpler and cheaper way of bringing down the black market for it, and we can stop wasting billions of dollars trying to cease it. And not to mention the massive amounts of money and jail space wasted on non-violent marijuana criminals. What do you think?

That's awful presumptive of you. Even if a Democrat wins the presidency in 2008, he or she would have very little to do with drug laws, only their enforcement through the DEA, FBI, Coast Guard, Border Patrol, etc. Not to mention most Democrats aren't any more realistic on the War on Drugs than Republicans. Regardless, you'll have to take that up with Congress, the 50 state legislatures, and local law enforcement entities. Good luck.

Never because if legalized it becomes a product that is in direct competition with liquor and beer. They ( liquor and beer companies) have lobbyists whom have the ear of the legislators.

Take another hit, man.
Just because many democrat politicians take drugs, doesn't mean they won't destroy you for doing it. They are hypocrites.
You are right about the pot laws being bad. It should just be a fine, not jail.

No, because democrats only PRETEND to be liberal on issues. When it comes down to it, Dems are as big an enemy of personal liberty as the GOP. Until we get a libertarian majority in both houses, we will never be free.

So, you want marijuana to be legal so the producers get paid less for it? Do you really think there are billions of dollars invested in the hunt for pot growers? Look stoner boy, you shouldnt wish for your suppliers to be forced into dropping prices by the MAN, so you could get your high on for less. Maybe you should start drinking bud light and not mess with the hydro.

first you are counting on votes that won't happen

but no they have been in power before and have no intent on making it legal.
