Does it bug you when you are in a public space and someone is on their cell phone?

I was on the bus yesterday. This lady behind me gets a call and says "Yea, I'm going to the doctors right now...(pause).... Yea i started leaking and then i called the doctor thinking my water broke, but the doctor said it was discharge......"

Now did I want to hear that after lunch? No. But what about you?

I mean it sounds stupid to want to have privacy in public, but just think about it.

Arent personal conversations better left for face-to-face meetings or on the phone in private?

Have you ever been on a bus or in a doctors office and had someone get a call and start talking to this person as if they were in the room? Or they talk about things that they should be talking about in private?

Really "BY ME"? Do you honestly think ppl have the right to do whatever it is they want? You think its alright to discuss things like OBGYN visits and strange rashes in public?

No, and I don't feel guilty eavsdropping either...if they want to have their lives made public, who am I to deny them. I love just staring at them with an "interested" in what they're saying look on my face. Makes for great conversations!

no i couldn't care less

I never pay attention to others phone conversations

It used to bother me, but I've grown used to it.

I hate it.
Especially when the person is on a wireless headset.

yes- I HATE that!
One woman was talking so LOUD in a hallway one time that I finally just turned & stared at her until she moved away from me.....

Nope, doesnt bug me at all actually.

Yeah, I know what you mean, and it is especailly annoying when you are in the store and they are talking on that wireless ear piece thing and they look like they are talking to themselves. My husband does it all the time and it drives me crazy.

No, it bugs me when I'm in bed with my wife being naughty and she's talking to her mom on her cell phone and yawning.

I really dont like it when people are really loud on the phone in public. Its so rude.

Yes, it's shows they're a total moron who doesn't have any modesty or concern for others.

It bugs the hell out of me when ppl talk on their cells while they're driving.. but i think ppl in public sometimes purposely talk loud enough for everyone to hear, so that when someone says something about it, they can say "why are you listening to my conversation??".. i think those ppl are bored with themselves and have nothing better to do..

yeah, it's annoying but they have the right to do whatever they want.

alot of people have to use cell phones .I am a pharmacist / business owner and use a Blackberry but I do use some discretion when using it

I usually walk away from a crowd of people to take a call

This lady sounds like she doesn't know proper cell phone etiiquette

It don't bother me unless they are loud and rude.

no, they have a right to be on the phone while running errands, etc. and it doesnt bother me.. the only time i think it is rude is when someone is in a meeting with other ppl and their phone rings and they answer/continue to talk during the meeting... now THAT bothers me. :)

I agree with you, I try my best to make sure I'm not on the phone in public, it's rude.

no, the phone thing doesnt bother me as much as breast feeding in public and not covering them. i think its fine to brest feed, even in public as long as you through a blanket over yourself. anyone with me?

its only annoying when its sumthin like how you said...yea...i dont wanna hear about womens different type of stuff like that...i wouldnt want to know that kinda stuff bout my best friends then yet a person ive never met...but other then personal stuff...i dont really mind cause cell phones are becoming so common that if your not using them in public then your probly at your house and if your at your house then you might as well use a house phone and if you are only using your house phone then no one would use a cell phone at all

Only if they are loud and ignorant.

i hate when people talk loudly in public on the phone

Only if they are talking obnoxiously loud that it bugs me.

Sometimes

I like to comment on what they say & they usually move away.

I've always believed that there is a right place for everything. And talking about things like that out in public is definitely not right.

Oh yeah ,it kinda bugs me to . The worst is when they start giggling continuously and say Oh My God all the time. I had this girl fallowing me around in the store with my kids cussing like a truck driver and saying nasty things. It took everything out of me to not rip her phone out of her hand ,a step on it.

I think it's rude as hell if they aren't talking about anything good but when they are having an argument or something I'm all for it.

I hate it. Especially when they're on a wireless headset, because then it looks like they are talking to themselves.

We really didn't need to know that your water broke, lady.
