How long does a suspension last?

There is difference between a suspension and termination isn't there?
suspension is a temporary removal (as from office or privileges)

termination is a the end of something in time; the conclusion.
an end of something in space; a limit or edge.

There would appear to be no difference between a termination and suspension. My previous account was suspended 3 months ago, after many emails to customer services asking why and for how long I was told suspensions are at the discretion of Yahoo and are indefinite

Yes. Suspensions don't last forever. It means something is temporarily ended or taken away, but that won't last forever. Termination means the end.

However, my other Yahoo Answers account was suspended a LONG time ago, back in May 2006. It's now January 2007 and I never got it back, but maybe Yahoo Answers suspensions last for a year... Which is too long in my opinion, but I'm not sure about their rules.

However, there IS a difference between suspension and termination. There are just different lengths of suspension, but termination is an ending.
