Ever met God Himself? When and how?

I did, twice. Once it was during a dream. I was Dennis Hopper. He was directing this vast film-within-a-film in something like a super version of whati imagine Adny Warhol's 'Factory' to have been like in its heyday. That led to the conclusion -- a gestalt, really -- that He was indeed all-powerful and all-knowing. But in this persona at any rate, by any criteria I could apply, He was also quite nuts.

In the other, I was conscious, and was "led" to "meet my Higher Power" as the culmination of a session of therapy in Paris with a "Sophrologist". There He was, out in limitless outer space -- dozing in a hammock of stars. Sound asleep.

How about you? Any Close Encounters of the Trilogy Kind?

When you have these odd encounters you need to ask out loud, "Is Jesus Christ Lord?" If this encounter is truly from God then the answer will be Yes.

a few days ago (one of <I>'s) and at 10^24 meters I thought: if there were a God, THIS would be Her perspective. It's a vastness where entire Galaxies seem less than dust; and here we are, the spec on the spec on the spec, believing that what is happening to us is the most important thing happening in the Universe. It occurs to me: one of my Quarks could be kneeling and crying right now, pleading for my intervention...

We are VERY SMALL.

That is why we need friendship, family, LOVE: it is the perspective for the Mind; the lifting of the Soul; the only way to rise high enough to glimpse a vision of TRUTH.

in college, conversations like this were with agnostics, trendy name for bored.
OK, No, I've never met God.
But
His Presence is with me constantly.
To met someone you would have to 'not know' that someone; I have been aware of Gods' presence in my life all my life so it's like asking, have I ever met my mother?
You can't really say yes or no.
God is real, enveloping as the air around you, clear as looking out of your own eyes at the world.
And by the way, it seems we refer to 'his' or 'himself' but in fact the gender of God never enters my mind. I don't think it is supposed to. I hope you too, see him one day.
