MSN Live Messener installation failed?

I'm running off of Windows XP Media Center 32 bit. I've reinstalled Windows twice to try fix this Windows Live error, only to error out again. I download the latest Live MSN installer, run it, and the install fails.

I have 108GB, not MB, but GB of free space on my Hard-Drive and I have 1,400 MB of RAM that isn't being used.

In Add/Remove programs, there is no MSN or Messenger listed.

As I said, I've reinstalled XP Media Center twice only to keep getting the same error message.

Here's the error the installer takes me to:
Installation is unsuccessful
You may be unable to install Windows Live products if your computer doesn't have enough free hard disk space, if your firewall (A security feature designed to help protect a computer from unauthorized external access. It can be hardware, software, or both.) won't allow the installation, or if your system doesn't meet the requirements for the product.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thing is, I've had Windows Live installed on this computer before. Around every 4-6 months, I reinstall Windows to get rid of any gunk that my HD may have picked up. I am sure that I have all MSN Messenger programs off of my computer, even the one that comes with XP automatically.

Are you sure you deleted ALL of MSN Live Messenger? Sometimes its because you haven't delete the whole package.

Also, some computers do not allow for newer versions. Sometimes installing the old version and then upgrading, tends to work to.
