How can i adopt my girlfriends baby??

My girlfriend and i have been together for 18mnths, i met her when she had just found out she was pregnant with another mans baby. i was happy to continue the relationship, we just took things slow. my girlfriends baby is called Tia and we are a nice, tight little family...just one big problem, the baby isnt mine!! the biological father has paid for dna and is now paying money to the csa, he has had no contact what-so-ever with tia, never even seen her! im not happy bout this and want him to sign the rights over and carry on being a waste of space! do i need to contact my lawyer or how do i go about this tricky predicament?? thanks

Are you marrying the mother of Tia, if so then go to the lawyer and have the father, biological, that is to sign over his rights and to have no contact with any of you.
Tia is very blessed to have you in her life
Do it for all of you and she will be giving you incredible Fathers Day cards in a few years..........................

I agree with everyone else about contact a family attorney about this matter.

but the father needs to sign over the baby before anyone can get Tia.

the lawyer will help you tremendously.

that is a difficult question. her real father might not want you to take his child. be a good role model and don`t you ever think about abusing tia! many stepfathers abuse their stepdaughters.

You do need to contact a lawyer first off. Just make a phone call and ask if you can speak to one briefly.

u need a lawyer for paperwork and stuff..but he has to sign over his rights first.....
