Romantic or not?

Sorry- this has a fair bit of details.

I'm in love with a girl named Kaitlyn, but she doesn't know. If fact, I don't even know if she likes girls. She recently lent me the book Boy Meets Boy by David Lavithan.

In the book, the main character tries to win over "The Boy" by doing the following-

On the first day, he gives him flowers, in the form of oragami

On the second day, he gives him words and definitions (he makes a list of 100 words that he loves, and the definitions).

On the third day, he gives him space. Nothing but a single note telling him to have a good day.

On the fourth day, he gives him a song.

On the fifth day, he gives him film (The Boy is a photographer).

On the sixth day, he writes him letters all day long, giving them to him at random intervals.

And on the seventh day, he gives him himself.

I want to do something very similar for Kaitlyn, but keep it a secret as to who it's coming from, until the seventh day.

What do you think?

How would I go about finding out if she likes girls? I'm not very subtle!

Any suggestions? I am completely desperate! School is out in 15 days, and I have to know before that, because I can't stand a summer without her.

I think its a brilliant idea. Of course you'd have to change things up a bit as to not completely give it away. And even if she doesn't like girls at least you tried. Rather have failed and said I tried then say I failed cause I'm too much of a chicken to try. Go for it. Question in return though: You know what she's into right?
So try mixing things up with stuff she likes. and maybe instead of everyday giving her a new thing try every other day and then on like the last day of school reveal yourself. Just do what your heart tells you, not your brain. If she like it and rejects, well she at least still want to be friends. If she thinks its creepy and rejects, hopefully things will work out, and if she returns your feelings well, then you can celebrate. Let me know if you want to talk more. You know my e-mail. It sounds lovely, but I think she'll catch on considering she's the one who lent you the book, so she'll probably know that you're the one mimicking the plot. If you don't mind that she's gonna catch on, go for it... but I don't think you'll be able to stay anonymous. She'll most likely call you out on it before day 7.

ohhhh myyyy goooddddd!!! i love that book! i read it like a million times! you should soooo do that! but change some of the details because she has probably read it a lot and knows what happens with each day, and if you just copy it she will think you are lame... and we know you are not!

Do nothing until you learn whether she even likes girls.
