Give 2 examples of loci (plural of locus) from everyday life, one in a plane and one in space.

If you didn't know, a locus is a set of points, all of which meets a stated condition. When it says plane, it means 2-D and space means 3-D.

On a playground, the path of a swing would be an arc of a circle with the radius the length of the swing's chains or ropes and the fraction of the circle, the number of degrees passed through divided by 360潞.
For 3-D, you can use those balls attached to a chain on a pole that you hit. It's locus would be a sphere, assuming the doesn't hit the ground.

In a plane you could say a map. The points are like cities and towns and the lines are roads.
For space, you could say power lines. Where the power poles are "points" and the wires are lines.

One could argue that the earth's atmosphere counts for 3D, as it forms a locus of points equadistant from the center of the earth.

A circle would be a 2d example
