Boyfriend, Please help asap?

my boyfriend was friends with this girl named *chrissy* who ended up moving to california about a year ago. well from what i've been told chrissy became friends with another girl at her new school. i'm not sure how the whole story unfolds but chrissy's new friend, let's call her *beth* began to talk to my boyfriend... this was way before me and him began dating.
Me and my boyfriend have been dating almost 3 months. I didn't know much about this girl except that her and my boyfriend were 'friends', even though him and *beth* had never met. about a month into our relationship i began to find out more information about their 'friendship'...
i found out that they use to talk on the phone every night and he actually told this girl he never met that he loved her. my boyfriend has a ringtone set for all the 'important' callers... i noticed about the same time every night someone with the ringtone "hey there delilah" would call and he would just turn the volume off. *need more space*

finally i got a little suspicious and i happened to be sitting right behind him when his phone rang. i saw her name with the personalized ringtone. we got into this arguement about it and he said he hasn't "talked to her in a while"... but i told him i thought it was weird for her to have that ringtone and stuff. he always gets mad that my guy friends call.
so about a week later he got a text from her.
then again we got into a fight and he says they talk on the phone every two or three weeks. this made me mad, then, last night she and her best friend tried to call him.
what is up?
this doesn't sound right? he told her he loved her and is still letting her call? he knows it upsets me but he uses the excuse that he's never met her.
what should i do?

omg if hes telling some other girl that he loves her then dump him
but u should talk to him first and find out whats really goin on
and if he starts being a jerk about it then dump him
