Ladies: What was this girl doing and why? Rejection or bewildered?

At a New Year's Eve party this girl I had met a couple of weeks before started talking to me (like an "i remember you, I'll be polite" type way, and she was covering her mouth when she was eating and we talked a bit. Then I talked to her after, and she told me like three times she was going to another party, but she MAY be back before midnight at the one we were at....

then I asked if she wasn't coming back if I could call her...

she looked into space tightening her mouth and said "I may be coming back" and walked away. It was the last I saw of her.

WTF!!!!!!

Now, granted, me and a friend didn't remember her name (just met her once), but was I being rejected or was she just put on the spot or what?

This still hurts.....

OK, FIRST OF ALL I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THIS WOULD STILL HURT YOU ,WAS SHE THAT GOOD LOOKING? WAS SHE DRUNK,HIGH OR ON METH? ''referring to the lip tightening thing'' THAT'S JUST WIERD, BUT YEAH, SHE WAS TOTALLY AND FOR SURE TRYING TO DITCH YOU IF SHE KEPT SAYING SHE'S GOING TO ANOTHER PARTY. STOP GIVING HER SO MUCH OF YOUR MIND TIME! AND MOVE ON ! THERE ARE SO MANY MORE GIRLS OUT THERE FOR YOU! GOOD LUCK!!!

it sounds like a bit of both.
if the party was hectic and crazy then yeah she couldve just been a bit bewildered. but if it wasnt then it kinda sounds like rejection..=/
