Why do they portray Jonathan Harris who portrayed Dr. Smith in Lost in Space a pedaphile in certain cartoons?

In one episode of Family Guy Dr Smith is called a demented pedaphile and in the Simpsons when Bart meets Jonathan Harris at a Sci-Fi Convention the robot warns Bart when the actor asks him to come back stage. I never heard of this actor being that way and I'm a Lost in Space fan. Can somebody refer me to a website to prove this allegation.

Spare me your poisonous barbs you bubble headed boobie!

This is PROBABLY due to the fact that the Dr.Smith
character spent ALL of his spare time with the two youngest
members of the Robinson family while generally avoiding
everybody else!
HOWEVER , there were two reasons for this :

1. They needed adult supervision and (as a stowaway) the
good Doctor had virtually nothing else to do with himself .

2. These two were more likely to be impressed by Dr.Smith's
bragging .

this is news to me, all i remember from that simpsons episodes is the robot going 'danger danger bart simpson!'
