80'S Sci Fi/Alien Movie - NO IDEA WHAT THE NAME IS!!!?

Alright. So there was this movie set in the 70's or maybe early 80's. It used to be played on day time weekend cable TV a lot. I'm thinking Disney channel but it could have been TNT, WB, etc. The main character is a boy. He meets some kind of alien. He is being chased by some older adults and gets into the alien space ship and mutters something like "get me 20 miles away from here!" and the ship brings him 20 miles straight up into the air, into space. Also, at some point at the end, he is at an air port and these old people pull out a gun and try to kidnap him. And he or his friend gets shot at the end, where there is some kind of shoot out in a dark alley. Honestly, this is all I can remember. But anything you give me would be greatly appreciated!

Flight of the Navigator is a 1986 Disney science fiction film about a 12-year old boy, David, who is abducted by an alien space craft. Due to the Theory of relativity, David is gone for only a few hours, but when he is returned to earth, eight years have gone by. David has no memory of his abduction, and finds the world, and his family to have changed drastically. He eventually winds up at NASA to discover what happened. There he reunites with the ship. It was written by Mark H. Baker and Michael Burton and directed by Randal Kleiser.
