Poem , about a man returning to his native home, i ran out of characters before i coulld complete it?

This is the day i fly with the thunder
From one land to onother, To say goodbye so that I may say
I am back beloved land
I left a native, spoke in my fathers toungue,
Slowly i began to forget my peoples ways
Not to arrive announced,
High above the clouds
Across oceans and the infinite sky
I fly home

I fly to a land I ran from
Where the mountains and the sky meet, the mighty zambezi flows, a valley I learnt to walk
distant borders, time and space, dictators and politics may seperate us
but she holds my heart still,
my land , my home

The horizon darkens and I lay back
My heart anxious and scared, I shed a tear for the feelings I hold are strange to me, I buried my heart too deep and accustomed myself too much to this foreign land
a man cannot belong to both worlds at the same time
How can I
I try to defy this but it pains me



I fly home
What awaits me I do not know
Will I return, I dare not ask
Will I stay, I leave that to her

I arrive unannounced

In your poem you say several times "I arrive unanounced". I assume you do not want characters other than your self.
You also mention how your home is.
Since you do mention your father, you may want to add a brother, any grandparents and maybe a best friend who will still be at your return to receive you.

I felt like that when I left my Homeland," Scotland" and came to live in London I have been in London now for a lot of years, but I still get homesick, and I still call Scotland my Home,only time will tell about what you will decide.

A superb impressionistic sketch.
You capture the unsure feeling of being between two worlds.
The first line is a splendid hook: I can't imagine anyone not wanting to read on!
I get the feel of Africa from just a few details.
Personally, I would leave out the last seven lines, as they make explicit what you've said symbolically in the rest of the poem. They seem "tacked on". But that's just my preference for allusive poetry. This is quality work.
