Whats something out of the "norm" that I can do and then write a paper on for my Abnormal psych class?..

* I have a project coming up for my abnormal psych class where I have to do something that is out of the norm in our society -American culture, I have to do in something public..*it has to be legal and safe*..like * getting into people's space when in the elevator....brining up a personal conversation with someone I've just met ...lol or * wearing mismatched flip flops ..any other ideas I'm kind of lost. Thanks.

There was a study done where a person was told to purposely walk between couples on the street instead of around them. You could try to recreate that study on your campus and see what happens.

I know a person that spent a couple of days at school pretending to be blind just to see how he was treated differently from when he was""normal"". I think it would be fun to dress like Steve Urkle with your pants pulled up to your chest maybe suspenders on a pocket protector and thick glasses with tape around the nosepiece and pretend that is normal for you...slick your hair back too .See if you are treated any differently than normally. You could even go to say 5 places first one way then normally and see if you are treated any differently. Or maybe using the same idea go in normally and then scruff yourself up and go to the same places as a bum and see what happens

Pick up a dead gold fish from a pet store, carry it around in a small fish bowl with water, visit some waiting rooms with it , put it on table and shake alittle food in...pull out your little "how to keep fish" book and wait to see how many people would tell you your fish is dead. If they ask any questions like, whats it name, or what type it is...just answer cheerfully.....how many would play along to not burst your bubble...how many would tell you the sad news thats its too late to feed it.
