What do you think of this REBOUND poem?

I TRIED

I tried something new
Who would've thought i'd be still stuck on you
I understand that it's over, you said we were through
Those words from your mouth were like a nightmare come true
I tried something new
'Cause my heart had it's first chance of replacing you
I played tricks with my head with visions of who?
Once again it was you, whom i'd tried to pursue
I tried to replace
I thought i'd exchange you for a whole 'nother face
'Cause from the sound of your voice, you needed your space
I tried to replace
But you in my heart left much more than a trace
I tried to forget
Forget all those butterflies i had when we met
Forget the illusions my heart on you set
All those tears that i cried
I tried to forget
I didn't want to be sad
So i tried...
I tried being angry
Offended
Spiteful
Annoyed
Trying to fade my emotions destroyed
I tried being mad
I tried to be reasonable
I tried to be smart
I tried to forget i wanted YOU from the start
