Personal space?

It may just be me but do some people seem to stand way to close? My personal space is about 3 feet if I just met you 2 if I've met you a few time and you haven't creeped me out. If I acctually know you then how close you stand dosen't bother me. Like one guy I worked with at my second job (not only was he degrading my work, I'm a hairdresser), but he was standing about 3 inches from me. I kept backing away and he kept steppping closer ever when I asked him to back off. I finnaly had to yell it so I attracted some attention. And this was the first time I had ever worked with him. Or like the creeps in my other question ( would this creep you out). I know it seems strange I'm a hairdresser and don't want someone close to me, but in the salon it dosen't bother me where there are so many other people around to keep an eye out.

i can understand why that would creep you out, i dont like people to be like right in my face or touching me if i dont know them. thers nothing wrong with that its just a phobia like some people dont like feet or some people dont like cramp spaces. everyone has a phobia it just so happens that is yours. if you feel threatend by someone and you think there crossing the line they probably are so dont feel bad for making a scene if he wouldnt back off after you asked him. hope this helped
