You can't stop yourself falling in love.

Let love happen, but not let it be tithed to a particular person. So even if you fall for someone and find their toxicity is harmful you can leave with the love but not the poison.

A feeling of love is always wonderful.

Its really hard meeting girls in public, especially when you can't tell if they're gay or straight...I also agree in that myspace is not a good option, lol, been there and done that...All I can say is...You would have to get out and about and make friends, I think your instincts would tell you if the potential friend is into girls or not...But if you still want to stick to the internet, because it might be easier, you should try facebook.com, its better and safer than myspace.

I suggest that you stop LOOKING too. Just relax and try not to think about anyone else - for some weird reason, that ALWAYS has worked for me.

I wouldn't push love- it's something you cant force other's into and if you expect love to happen you are only setting yourself. There are various dating websites that do cater to gay folk like you and me. Maybe search on the web for places in or near your city; join some kind of club. Exploring different options will give you the best opportunities for meeting new people, making new friends etc. My biggest piece of advice is to just chill and be patient. You are 17 years old and have so much ahead of you. I'm only 26, 27 in a few months, and I have to remind myself that all the time. I remember being 17 and wanting love but if that's all you think about, time will fly by and you'll be in your 30's before you know.

If you feel you are falling for the wrong girls, evaulate what went wrong with each person. Maybe there is a pattern you have created. Next time you start falling for a new gal, think about past qualities in old relationships and see if the new one has them. If so, maybe the "new person" isn't right and you should cut ties right away- save yourself the time and emotions from getting to involved. Good luck!!! Hope all turns out ok for you ;0)
