Iv been at a new school for like a semester. but i dunno if i like it enough...?

SO, ima freshman and changed schools for highschool. IT WAS MY CHOICE. so i used to go to a private school, but i switched to public. anyways, its been a WHOLE semester, and iv made a ton of friends and everything, but im really missing my old life. all of my best friends are at my old school, and its like im losing them because i hardly see them anymore. and i get really depressed sometimes just cause even though iv met a bunch of great ppl, not ONE of them amounts to how great my friends at my old school were.

So im not a person whos gonna chicken out and not "tough out a public school" so basically im not going back. but i am constantly sad and my bubbly personality is GOING DOWN like a ton. and iv quieted down and am always spacing just cuz i miss my old life so so so so muchh

i mean hello im resorting to YAHOO ANSWERS because im so torn about it...

so anyways, what should i do. i know this is really vague and hard to answer. but any advice is really appreciated.

thanks

just throw a party at your house with your old and new friends. id they get hook ups and get to know eachother more then they might try to hangout with friend from your new school

If you miss your friends so much, go back.

if you miss them, tell them

it seems lk you don't want to go back bc you think it will make you seem lk you 'cant handle' a public school. private and public school are very different environments, and neither is better than the other, you just need to choose the one that makes you happy. it's okay to switch back.

tell your friends you miss them and maybe you can hang out. what about the weekends? maybe you aren't close to your new friends because youre still too caught up on your old friends. Give your new friends a chance, they are the ones who are there now right? Why waste time worrying when you can have loads of fun? You can have friends in both places dont sweat it.

Well, just because you're not going to the same schools, doesn't mean you can't still hang out with your old buddies. Keep in touch with them and arrange to hang out at the mall or at each others' houses or something. See a movie. Keep your new friends, of course, that way you have a variety of people to hang out with: new and old.

If your friends really mean that much to you, you'll keep them close to you no matter what, school or not.
