Girl who is needing space...? |
so, went out with this girl a few times. she shocked me when she wrote me an email saying she just got out of a relationship and isn't looking for anything right now. (I kissed her on first date and held hands on second date, she let on the hand holding was a bit much for her, she's 27). The email she wrote was rather lengthy and basically said she is just looking to meet new people and friends, but also basically said why she sees why we should hang out again at some point. So, I would like to give her the space she needs. What is a good amount of time to give her before calling her again? i would say a week or two. if she just sent u the email, i would say wait a week before u contact her... Perhaps wait a week or two. Its probably not a good idea to crowd her at the moment. I am sorry to say but women talk in a different language then men. I want space means, I want to be with other guys and I am not into you! I would move on and find someone who is ready to be where you are at. Sounds like she's letting you down easy. Let her call if she does a week, maybe 2 I'd give it a week or so.. and ask her casually if she'd like to hang out. No pressure. Give her eternity. She's leading you on. Forget her. between 3-7 days. Give her so much space that you never see her again. All the signs are there that she is either not into you or just not into relationships at this time. Let her contact you. If she doesn't, nothing lost. just hang out with her like you would any other friend and once you think shes ready then you can tell her how you feel bout her She's probably testing you. A lot of us do that to see, you know, if a guy cares enough about us to really work hard at a relationship. I don't know what type of girl she is, but that's the most common reason we do stuff like this. You are asking the wrong question. Rather than focusing on how much time you should wait, your main concern should be the mistake you made in the first place. You kissed on the first date. Great! You held hands on the second date? Awful. Don't get me wrong, nothing is wrong with holding hands, but the fact that you kissed on the first date means that you had succesfully built comfort and rapport with her. By the time the second date rolled around you got scared and it showed in your body language. You need to give her a week and call her up and tell her that you have something to show her. DON'T tell her what. It doesn't matter what you have planned the important thing is to build anticipation and act like a challenge. Let her know you are not scared to put the moves on her, but at the same time will not tolerate crap. Good luck! ok she may not have enjoyed the kiss I hate to say it but she found a way out of that situation quick... by space I dont think she meant time. I think she meant that she wasnt looknig for a relationship. so hang out with her, go to games and movies and stuff. but do it as a friedn, not as a date. |
