How can two space ships meeting always face the right way up in Sci-Fi movies?

for the same reason that folkes feel over when it hit a bumop or got shot at lack of imagination in the new writers or they where afraid folkes would not watch a true space show

The ships aren't large enough to create their own artificial gravity or else everybody would be on the ceiling.
